In der Reihe Historische Lebenswelten in populären Wissenskulturen | History in Popular Cultures erscheinen Studien, die populäre Geschichtsdarstellungen interdisziplinär oder aus der Perspektive einzelner Fachrichtungen (insbesondere der Geschichts-, Literatur-und Medienwissenschaft sowie der Ethnologie und Soziologie) untersuchen. Im Blickpunkt stehen Inhalte, Medien, Genres und Funktionen heutiger ebenso wie vergangener Geschichtskulturen.

The series Historische Lebenswelten in populären Wissenskulturen | History in Popular Cultures provides analyses of popular representations of history from specific and interdisciplinary perspectives (history, literature and media studies, social anthropology, and sociology). The studies focus on the contents, media, genres, as well as functions of contemporary and past historical cultures.

The series is edited by Sylvia Paletschek and Barbara Korte (executives) as well as Judith Schlehe, Wolfgang Hochbruck, Sven Kommer and Hans-Joachim Gehrke.
